Die Molds Update

Hey loyal Agents. In short, we've been Whammied. We typically like to do updates when we have something actually newsworthy to share. Frankly, "hey we're alive and still working on it" doesn't do much for us or for you. Unfortunately, this update is not chock full of meaningful news like we thought it would be. We are still in a holding pattern with the factory until the dice are correct.
The factory has finished the molds (good news) a bit behind the last estimated schedule (not-so-good news). We were hoping for sample dice a couple of weeks ago during BGG.Con along with more concrete information on the production schedule. Unfortunately, we just heard from the factory that the next round of samples will not be here until the second week of December. They are unwilling to commit to a revised timeline until we have those dice in our hands. This definitely pushes us into 2019.
When we say that we understand your frustration, we mean it because we want our copy of the game too, and we want to be selling them (making money rather than spending it while facing ugly 2018 tax implications), and we don't want to be the bad guys delivering unhappy news to a bunch of awesome people. We met a lot of you at BGG.Con, and we can say that Warehouse 13 fans are top shelf. It's always gratifying to see a fan's eyes light up with they see our banner.
It was awesome to play the pre-proction copy of the game with backers and other convention attendees. The PPC is essentially the first copy of the paper components to roll off the assembly line. We can't think of a better way to promote the product than to show that thing off at all the conventions we can reasonably attend. Along those lines, Russ will have a copy with him at Rocket City Gamefest in late January--ready to play with any backers who are also attending.
We apologize for not updating sooner, but we've been anticipating imminent good news from the factory for some time now and wanted to hold off on the update until we had better news. Disappointing as the delay is, all we can say today is that we are continuing to push our manufacturing partners and continuing to look ahead in the process for any potential delays that can be dealt with sooner rather than later.
It's not much news, and we know it's not awesome. But it's all we know right now. Thanks for your continued patience. When we know more, you will know more.
Meanwhile, back in the Warehouse, we are continuing development on the H.G. Wells expansion. In a recent 2-player co-op variant play through of the base game, many of you will be pleased to hear that a Bering/Wells duo crushed MacPherson's plans for the Warehouse.

Hey loyal Agents,
We have a booth at BGG.CON this year. If you are there, please stop by booth 311 in the the Made In Texas room, and give us a fist bump. If you want to organize a game of Warehouse 13, just talk to us there and we'll make it happen.
We believe we will have a meaningful update for you soon™ regarding the dice and a revised production schedule.
Thanks for your patience.

As you know, we don't like to bore you with meaningless updates, but when we do have news you're among the first to know. As you're already aware, we got the pre-production copy at Dragon*Con, and it looked and felt great. We asked the factory to address some minor issues and they assure us that they have done so. That PPC did not contain any of the plastic pieces.
Then we got some disappointing news about our dice and had to spend some unexpected time on redesigns. While we were under the impression that our designs were approved months ago, the factory determined that some of the lines were too thin for mold stability, creating an unanticipated delay.
Early last week, we got a sample Warehouse dice cover. The shape and texture is great. It looks a lot nicer than the ones we 3D printed, even the one done by an expensive professional printer. We just had to wait for the dice to arrive to insure they fit properly inside.
Just a few days ago, we got the sample dice. They did fit into the Warehouse dice covers, so that was positive, but as great as everything else has looked thus far, we were sorely disappointed by the dice themselves. They are nowhere near the quality we've seen in the rest of the components and nowhere near the quality we are going to insist upon for your games. We know that a delay is not what you want to hear. It's not what we want to tell you, but we know that it's the right thing to do. We can't move forward until the dice are right, and as soon as they are we can push forward with all speed.
Believe us when we say that as irritating as this delay may feel for you, there is no one more eager than the 3 of us to have finished copies of Warehouse 13: The Board Game in hand. We understand and share your frustration completely. We hope to have more information on what this will do to the delivery timeline soon. As soon as we know something newsworthy, we will share it.
Thank you all for your continued support and patience.

Greetings loyal Agents!
The Pete Agent shields have been signed and are now in the mail to be delivered to those who backed the "Pete's Vibe" tiers. U.S. backers can expect theirs Monday and international backers should allow 10 business days for delivery. These were all fulfilled by us as we met, in person, with Eddie to have him sign them.
The good news for everyone who missed out on the Eddie autographs is while we were at Dragon*Con this past weekend we managed to get both Joanne Kelly (Myka Bering) and Aaron Ashmore (Steve Jinks) to sign 40 of their Agent shields as well.
Because of the way Backerkit works and the fact that everyone has already been charged, we will have to handle requests for these items manually. We will be sending out an email to all of our backers and pre-orders on Monday September 10th with instructions on how to purchase one of these new autographs.

Greetings Loyal Agents!
We received the pre-production copy just a couple of days ago while at Dragon*Con, and it looks great. We finally got a chance to snap some pics in somewhat decent light, and wanted to share those with you.
The factory is still finalizing the plastic components (dice, stands, and Warehouse dice covers), so we're looking only at the cardboard elements. They look great, feel sturdy, and have performed well during several demos!
We are still hopeful for an October shipping date. As always, we will keep you updated as we learn new information.
